Dunmore Brothers are back!
We are delighted to annouce we are welcoming back THE DUNMORE BROTHERS to Superfly on July 4th.
The Dunmore Brothers are Lucas and Louie, sons of Simon Dunmore - the founder and head of the prestigious house music label Defected Records. From childhood summers spent in Ibiza to hearing music blare from their dad's record room, the brothers grew up immersed in musical influences from all angles.
They made their entrance into the scene with early gigs at their local gym in Surrey, which gave them the platform to leap up to playing an impromptu debut gig at Solomon's Yard in Camden.
Their DJ sets quickly turned heads, demonstrating a gift as selectors, while they also set about producing records with a range of style and flair. Inspired by diversity, individualism and creativity, the pair have concentrated their musical values with an aim to challenge mainstream boundaries.
Their debut release, "Step Closer" featuring Ayaba Poetic, landed on Riva Starr's Snatch Records, quickly demonstrating the deep, techy, energetic direction they wished to pursue. They followed up with their second release "Obsessed", coming on Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records.
This growing momentum led to the brothers playing venues such as Printworks and Warehouse Project, as well as festivals in London, Croatia and Malta.
The brothers have also found their own distinct roles: with Lucas spending time learning the intricate details of the production process, Louie has been leading A&R on a new Afro House imprint, Sondela Recordings, alongside Sef Kombo.
More recently, the duo released "Trust Me" featuring Ben Westbeech on Solid Grooves, continuing to build on their reputation as a serious force in the house music world. With their deep family roots in the industry and a clear artistic vision of their own, the Dunmore Brothers look set to carve out a lasting legacy well beyond their famous surname.
It’s the third time they’re appearing at Leicester House Event Superfly, and we absolutely can’t wait. They tore the roof off last time out - if you’re in town, get on down to The Apres Lounge - free before 11pm. Get down early to beat the queue!
