am_iN7 DEBUT SET: HOUSE MUSIC FOR THE HEADS

Some nights just hit different. When the Welsh wizard, am_iN7 stepped into Superfly, the energy was already there - that rare convergence of open minds, hungry ears, and a dance floor ready to surrender to the groove.

For PJ, the selector behind the am_iN7 moniker, it was exactly where he's meant to be. Check out his groove-laden house music mix on Mixcloud - or listen the link below now, or read on to hear more about PJs love of house and dance music.

Two Decades Deep in the Groove

PJ's love affair with authentic house music spans over 20 years, weaving through residencies in Cardiff, Bristol, Birmingham, and Lincoln. But this isn't about chasing clout or crafting a persona - it's about the music, pure and simple. His down-to-earth approach and genuine enthusiasm have become his signature, bringing warmth and personal connection to every dance floor he touches.

It all started at 15 with a gamble: a mystery box of 100 records from eBay. Among the bargain bin finds were diamonds that would change everything — Tata Vega's "Get It Up For Love," Bohannon's "Let's Start The Dance," Gwen Guthrie's "Hopscotch," Cloud One's "Disco Juice."

These weren't just tracks; they were a roadmap to a style defined by groove and funk, where disco meets soul and every beat carries weight.

"Every set is about reading the crowd and letting the night unfold naturally," PJ reflects. "My aim is always to connect with people and keep the dance floor moving. The best nights bring together good people, open minds, and that energy when everything comes together. From the very start, the crowd at Superfly was fully locked in. I knew it was one of the best club nights in Leicester - if you’ve not been go! It’s the kind of night where the energy carries you from beginning to end."

The Sound: Where Groove Meets Soul

PJ's crates tell a story of deep digging and careful curation. His sound draws from labels and artists who prioritise feeling over formula, warmth over trends.

Shall Not Fade provides the blueprint for those deep, jazzy house moments - think Laurence Guy's atmospheric builds, Brawther's hypnotic loops, and the sophisticated grooves of Jesse Bru and Harrison BDP.

When the set needs to roll deeper, Cecille Records delivers with their refined take on tech-house. Marc Romboy and Gorge's productions give PJ the tools to craft those long, seamless blends where tension builds and releases like a slow exhale.

For pure, unadulterated funk, Toy Tonics brings the disco heat. Kapote and COEO consistently deliver those feel-good moments that remind you why you came out to a house night.

The soulful core comes from Local Talk, SlothBoogie, and Freerange Records - spanning raw underground heat to pristine, jazzy productions. Felipe Gordon, Session Victim, Jimpster, and Dam Swindle supply those warm chords, live-sounding bass lines, and grooves that breathe.

Razor-N-Tape injects that unmistakable NYC energy with disco- and sample-heavy tracks that nod to house music's roots. Meanwhile, Defected and Glitterbox provide those big, house classic and soulful vocal moments - the hands-in-the-air, peak-time magic.

The arsenal is rounded out by Desolat, Moon Harbour, and Saved Records for groove-driven, dancefloor-focused house that keeps the energy locked. Banoffee Pies Records, Let's Play House, and Kolour Recordings add that soulful, disco-inspired edge that makes the whole thing feel human.

The Superfly Session - Epic House Tunes All Night Long

This mix captures one of those special nights - the kind where the crowd's locked in from the first beat, and the energy doesn't dip. It's PJ doing what he does best: reading the room, trusting his instincts, and letting the music guide the journey.

Press play and feel it!

You’re going to be seeing more of PJ at Superfly Events in 2026 - we can’t wait.
